Detailed Job Description

During this apprenticeship you will be fully supported to allow you to provide administrative support to a Domiciliary care provider.

  • Answering the phone, emails and post
  • Word processing
  • Filing and other administration duties as required.
  • Preparing care plans and reports as required by the care manager.

Your working week will be Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

Requirements and Prospects

Qualifications required

GCSE’s passes are preferred but not essential as Functional Skills in Maths and English will be completed.

Skills required

Good standard of Maths and English

Personal Qualities

  • Honest and hard working, with a genuine wish to learn and develop their skills.
  • Good listening and communication skills
  • Able to plan work and carry out duties in an organised and timely manner

Future prospects

Progression to full time permanent role with opportunities to learn about the Adult Care sector and gain care experience or develop as an administrator working towards Office Management.

  • Diploma Level 2 in Business Administration
  • Functional Skills in Maths, English & ICT Employment (if required)
  • Rights & Responsibilities
  • Personal Learning & Thinking Skills.
