Description
Key responsibilities of the role and the day to day tasks and duties of the role will include:
Learning all aspects of the kitchen
Creating dishes from fresh ingredients
Cooking and grilling
Controlling and ordering stock and inspecting it on delivery
Gutting and preparing animals and fish for cooking
Scraping and washing large quantities of vegetables and salads
Cooking and presenting food creatively
Monitoring production to maintain quality and consistent portion sizes
Working under pressure to make sure food is served on time keeping to hygiene, health and safety and licensing rules
Full clean down every night
Will be expected to share pot washing duties
Weekend work: 3pm start with 11.00pm finish
Closed on Monday + one other day off

Please note that Blackpool & The Fylde College offer CV building sessions should you wish to use this facility. From April 2017 the ANMW was set at £3.50 per hour, which increases to £3.70 per hour on 1 April 2018. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The Minimum Wage for Apprentices applies to time spent on the job plus time spent training.
