Detailed Job Description

As an Apprentice Sales Advisor in one of our stores, you’ll be enthused about supporting the Managers and will be the first point of contact for most of our customers.

Duties to include:

  • Driving store sales and achieving KPI’s
  • Selling merchandise and insurance
  • Following up on enquiries and advising customers on the best solution for their particular needs
  • Administration duties
  • Ensuring all store operational standards are maintained
  • Would need to be available to work weekends and Bank Holidays on a rota basis
  • Lives within 30 minutes travelling time of the store (desirable, not essential)
  • Is willing to travel to other stores to provide cover if required
  • Has a current driving licence and owns a car (desirable, not essential)
  • Has proof of permission to work within the UK

You will be working Monday - Sunday 40 hours on a rota basis, £8.58 per hour, £17,850 per annum.

Requirements and Prospects

Qualifications required

Basic level of English and Maths

Skills required

  • Experience of providing a high level of customer service
  • Has worked in a sales focused environment and has ideally taken responsibility for driving sales
  • Experience of carrying out basic administrative duties
  • Experience of cash handling
  • Has a working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), email and the internet
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Has a good standard of numeracy and literacy

  • Is committed to providing excellent customer service
  • Demonstrates an enthusiastic and friendly approach
  • Can remain calm when under pressure
  • Self-motivated and able to use initiative to drive own sales performance against agreed personal targets
  • Is able to work within a small team
  • Has a willingness to learn new skills and undertake appropriate training
  • Is willing to undertake all tasks required, including maintenance and cleaning

Future prospects

Excellent future prospects on completion of the apprenticeship with further qualifications available.

Bonus

You will be eligible to receive a discretionary bonus of up to 25% of your annual salary which is calculated against operational and sales targets.

Holiday Entitlement

Holidays start at 28 days per annum, increasing with service to a maximum of 33 days a year.
