Description

Professional livery, training and riding centre set in beautiful surroundings.

Our establishment first opened the stable doors in 2000 and has been a great success with local, national and international clients. We are licensed by Canterbury City Council and also both approved by the British Horse Society and the Pony Club.

We are looking for someone to join our happy team, to assist with all aspects of the yard, riding school and training. Training towards BHS exams also available. Opportunities to ride for the right candidate.

All staff will be First aid trained and CRB checked.

General duties to include;

  • Mucking out
  • Turning out/bringing in
  • Tack cleaning
  • Tacking up
  • Feeding
  • Filling hay nets
  • Clipping/pulling/plaiting/trimming
  • Bathing
  • Rug changing
  • Paddock maintenance
  • Schooling
  • Riding
  • First aid
  • Exercising horses from the ground (lunging, horse walker, long reining, pessoa training etc.)
  • Holding for vet/farrier/dentist

Experience with horses is essential for this position.
Must be able to work towards Level 1 or higher in Functional Skills maths and English
Full training supported by Haddon Training
Successful candidate will be an experienced rider, hard working and able to use own initiative and common sense when required. You will be friendly, bubbly and enthusiastic with a passion to succeed within the equine industry.
Possibility of Level 3 Senior Groom Apprenticeship on completion of Level 2
