Working in a fast paced environment, providing a high quality service, to assist customers in choosing the best rental vehicle for them.
The role is designed to give you a strong grounding in all aspects of working in a successful car and van rental outlet from; customer engagement, selling additional products, customer check-out, check-in, assisting in the organisation of vehicle delivery and collection, and ultimately leading to a permanent role with wide ranging career possibilities.
Duties
- Handle all telephone enquires in a polite and helpful manner, adhering to the Company’s telephone technique.
- Provide a high level of Customer Service in all customer contact situations, recognising our Company’s Customer Service standards and your empowerment to deliver total customer satisfaction.
- Carry out instructions / procedures on the Station Network System as requested by Manager / Supervisor.
- Accurately complete all rental administration and vehicle documentation, including the identification and reporting of damage, according to the company’s Operating Procedures.
- Be responsible for security of vehicles, cash, premises and customer safety.
- Identify and communicate to the Station Manager any new / additional aspects within the workplace which might have a significant impact upon the environment.
- Drive company vehicles with care and adhere to the company Driving Standards Policy.
- Deliver and collect vehicles to customers specified requirements and inform customers of all relevant information regarding vehicle handover and termination.
- As per instructions from management, deposit company monies at the bank.
- Any other reasonable duty as requested by Manager / Supervisor.
- Provide a high quality rental service to meet customer requirements and sell the Company’s services and products to achieve targets.
- Sell the Company’s products and services to all potential and existing customers to achieve and exceed agreed personal and station targets.
- Be commercially aware and recognise and report on prospective business opportunities and competitor activity.
- Upon request, to advise the customer of the vehicle CO2 emissions value and make every effort to meet the customer’s requirements where a vehicle with a lower CO2 emission value is requested.

GCSE or equivalent maths and English at grade D or above desirable but not essential.
Intermediate Apprenticeship in Customer Service (Standard).
This apprenticeship is delivered through work based learning, this means that all training is done at the workplace eliminating the need to attend college. The successful candidate will be allocated an assessor who will visit on site every 4-6 weeks and deliver all of the training to gain the qualification and provide the resources to complete work between visits.
