Description

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, professional and reliable. You will be working alongside the yard manager, owner and our freelance professional to get the top training and experience to build your understanding of running a successful yard, as well as progressing in your equine career. We are committed to career development with regular training available internally and from visiting experts; as well as the opportunity to take your BHS Stages. We can offer traineeships and Level 2 Grooms apprenticeships. As a valued employee you will have the opportunity to attend clinics, off-site training, riding lessons, attend competitions as a groom and potentially as a rider in the future. You will also learn to drive a quad bike! Further to this ancillary training will be available in First Aid, Nutrition and show preparation. Training and advice are available for all the general yard duties. You will be working as part of a family-run team who prefer the natural way of handling horses. You will have the opportunity to work with our stallions, broodmares, young stock and competition horses.

Some previous experience with horses.
Must be able to work towards Level 1 or higher in Functional Skills maths and English
Full training through the Equine Apprenticeship supported by Haddon Training.
Must be keen, hard-working and willing to work outdoors in all weathers
Opportunity for a full-time job or progression to a Level 3 apprenticeship.
