Detailed Job Description

They are looking for a business admin apprentice toundertake general administrative duties relevant to the --Careers Department through liaison with the Head of Careers. This includes but is not restricted to:

- Preparation of careers handouts and documentation

- Collecting and inputting data for destinations and other reports

- Booking and administration of Higher Education events

- Overseeing the careers IT programs for student use

- Organisation of careers mailings to students and parents

- Performing administrative tasks for Mock Interviews

- Supporting the Careers Advisers/Administrators with administrative tasks when requested

- Supporting the UCAS administrator with UCAS checking and related tasks as appropriate

- Helping with the maintenance of databases and uploading of SharePoint materials for the careers department

- Maintaining the Careers Library, ensuring that materials are updated and filed as required

- Maintaining notice-board displays, weekly bulletin and HillsWorks

- Assisting with lunchtime presentations and surgeries

- Assisting with the arranging of large events including the Employer Fair and Progression Week

Confident user of IT, including Microsoft Office applications (especially Word and Excel), Outlook and the internetExcellent inter-personal skills demonstrating a professional and assured disposition and with the ability to interact successfully with a wide range of peopleAbility to communicate effectively with other team members to ensure the smooth running of Reception

Additional Information

Training provided

Business Administration Level 3 will be delivered by Remit Training with visits from a Development Coach every 4 - 6 weeks. You will be expected to study 4/5 hours per week.You will be asked to complete assessments as part of the recruitment process.
