As an Apprentice Retail Assistant you will be supervised and trained by the Deputy Manager to learn to check in deliveries you will also be pricing stock, checking dates on the stock for rotation, putting together displays, general cleaning duties within the store. The role is:
- packing
- Cash handling
- Forecasting production
- Co-ordinating and liaising with the store
- Co-ordinating and liaising with customers
- booking and tracking deliveries
- Serving and assisting customers with sales
- assisting in training
- Till and possible computer work

As an apprentice you will be included on a Retail Qualification, this will involve a Vocational Coach visiting you on a monthly basis observing you and training you along the way whilst you work.
Level 2 retailer apprenticeship
Each framework includes a diploma/certificate which shows the practical skills, a technical certificate to confirm the knowledge and understanding and Functional Skills in Maths and English.
You will be assessed throughout the apprenticeship and complete the qualification based on the competencies within your job role.
You will be assessed by a combination of observations, professional discussion, question and answer sessions and self-study which is required to confirm your knowledge and understanding of the career route you have chosen.
