Description

P&A Services are looking to recruit a Front of House Apprentice to work with the catering team at Ross on Wye Golf Club.

This role is working in a team who are responsible for providing a high quality service to customers arriving for golf and functions using the bar and catering facilities.

Key Duties will include the following:

Work on a shift rota system in order to carry out daily catering operations

Serve customers using plated service system.

Be aware of all Health & Safety issues.

Maintain the highest standards of food hygiene and cleanliness at all times

Guide, care for and assist customers in their choice and use of the catering facilities

Work as part of a team to achieve the income and usage targets of the catering facilities

Innovate ideas and initiate action to increase the usage of the catering facilities

Ensure excellent presentation of food and beverages to the customer at all times

Ensure all stock management systems are followed at all times

Attend appropriate training and development as required

Undertake any other duties as may be required to assist in the role.

You will become an integral part of the team and there are lots of prospects here in return for your hard work and dedication.

The employer will review wage during the Apprenticeship this will give scope for the wage to increase further upon good performance. You will need to be dedicated and committed to your work, and it is imperative you have a good positive working attitude and a willingness to learn.

As an Apprentice you will be included on a Hospitality Team Member -Food and Beverage Service Qualification. Your Qualification will be delivered by an Award Winning Training Provider who will support your learning and development throughout your Apprenticeship. This will involve a Regional Trainer coming to visit you on a regular basis to deliver the training and guide you through your Apprenticeship

None required as full training but GCSE’s at grade A-C in English and Maths would be an advantage.

Level 2 Hospitality Team Member Apprenticeship specialising in Food and Beverage Services.

Apprenticeship standards are aimed at developing skills within the Apprentices’ chosen career route, each standard has set knowledge, skills and behaviours required to be successful within the job role. This will include the completion of functional skills in Maths and English.

Once the apprentice has completed a minimum of 12 months training and the employer and Babcock regional trainer confirm they have met all the requirements of the standard they will be put through to end point assessment. The end point assessment is independent from the training and includes a variety of assessment methods which test the skills and knowledge of the apprentice to ensure they are fully competent in their role.

Each Apprentice will be supported throughout the apprenticeship by a structured programme of teaching, e-learning, face to face training and workplace mentoring; this will encourage and help them to meet the requirements of the new standards and will prepare them for the end of point assessment.

It is anticipated that upon successful completion of the Apprenticeship, and assuming good performance, that a permanent position may be available, this also means a wage increase.
