Description
The position includes accountability and responsibility for the following activities, which are not exclusive:
Job Accountability / RESPONSIBILITY:
- Successfully completing an apprenticeship
- Ensure compliance with Company Management system requirements
- Ensure compliance with the applicable Railway Group, Network Rail and other Industry standards
- Assist undertaking and preparing surveys, design drawings, reports and schedules.
Job Context / PURPOSE OF POST:
The purpose of the post is to assist Novus Rail in the delivery of all railway engineering related contracts, including:
- Undertaking duties requested by the company
- Learning Company and railway industry processes / requirements
- Learning how to competently use the applicable survey equipment
- Learning how to competently use the applicable software packages
- Assist undertaking surveys and inspections
- Assisting with the preparation of technical design drawings, schedules and reports
- Utilise CAD to Company and client requirements Assisting with safety and quality assurance requirements.

4 GCSE’s or equivalent (Including Maths and English)
You must achieve a score of at least Entry Level 3 on the college based online initial assessments in English, Maths and IT.
You will work towards completing the Level 2 Apprenticeship in Engineering with a view to advancing to Level 3.
