Working in a fast paced airport environment and providing a high quality service to assist customers in choosing the best rental vehicle for them.
The role is designed to give you a strong grounding in all aspects of working in a successful car and van rental outlet from; customer engagement, selling additional products, customer check-out, check-in, assisting in the organisation of vehicle delivery and collection, and ultimately leading to a permanent role with wide ranging career possibilities.
Duties
- To provide a high level of customer service in all customer contact situations, recognising our company’s customer service standards and your empowerment to deliver total customer satisfaction.
- Contribute to sales targets by proactively promoting additional services to suit customer needs.
- Work towards KPI’s and sales targets both as part of the team and as an individual.
- To handle enquiries and overcome any problems the customer may have in a helpful and efficient manner in order to be able to close a sale.
- Handle all telephone and face to face enquiries in a polite and helpful manner.
- To accurately complete all rental administration and vehicle documentation, including the identification and reporting of damage, according to the Company’s Operating Procedures.
- Carry out instructions/procedures on the in house computerised rental system as requested by Manager/Supervisor.

GCSE or equivalent maths and English at grade D or above desirable but not essential.
Intermediate Apprenticeship in Customer Service (Standard).
This apprenticeship is delivered through work based learning, this means that all training is done at the workplace eliminating the need to attend college. The successful candidate will be allocated an assessor who will visit on site every 4-6 weeks and deliver all of the training to gain the qualification and provide the resources to complete work between visits.

Full training will be given in this challenging and varied role to ensure that the apprentice has the skills and expertise to become and be considered as a permanent member of Europcar. Previous apprentices that joined the Europcar programme in 2015 are now earning between £35,000 - £40,000 per annum.
This role will involve weekend working on a rota basis. Europcar is an international organisation and the opportunities for progression are endless. The earliest shift start is at 6am and the latest finish is at 3am. As an Apprentice this is not something you will be required to do initially however it is something to keep in mind for once the programme is complete and you start employment full time.
