Detailed Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has become available for an apprentice to join the team at the Holiday Inn Express Salford Quays as a Guest Service Assistant

Being a Guest Service Assistant (GSA) means being the person who makes our guests feel welcomed and pleased with their choice of accommodation. It means taking and showing pride in your hotel and delivering a great guest experience consistently

As a GSA you may be the first person a guest encounters at our hotel so you’ll need to be friendly, professional and confident. You’ll be the person that a guest turns to if they have any concerns or complaints and you’ll be empowered to make things right.

Duties will include:

•Front of house- taking booking, dealing with enquiries and orders

•Waiting on serving food and drinks

•Keep working areas and surfaces clean and tidy.

•Housekeeping duties, cleaning all areas

•Follow health and safety policy and procedures and be aware of individual responsibilities under legislation

.GSAs are the beating heart of our hotel; they get involved in everything from serving at the bar, preparing breakfast, and taking reservations, to ensuring our housekeeping and maintenance teams are aware of any issues. You’ll need to be great at juggling tasks and turning your hand to many different things.

We’re looking for individuals who can really shine in a busy setting, who are comfortable and confident in meeting and engaging with new people and who have a passion for great customer service. Practices and processes can be taught, but pizazz is what comes naturally to our GSAs and is what makes them special.

As an Apprentice you will be included on a Hospitality Qualification.
