We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to work within the office and reception of their premises. You will learn all aspects of managing the office and reception while working towards a Level 3 Business Admin qualification.

These include hazardous waste disposal, product recovery, septic tank emptying and bulk potable water delivery. We also have a number of specialist vehicles available on a hire and sale basis, like our IVACs, HIABs and vacuum tankers. Our main aim is to provide customers with a first class environment management service whilst following relevant legislation and company procedures.

Detailed Job Description

Greens Environment are looking for a business admin apprentice to work at their premises on Hillhouse Industrial Estate in Thornton.

If you enjoy working on computers and are proficient in Microsoft packages, and are familiar with social media sites, then this is the perfect opportunity for you.

Your main duties will be helping with customers queries, either on the telephone or face to face, promoting services and ensuring great customer service is delivered at all times.

You will also be required to carry out general office duties including filing, data management, sorting mail, etc.

Requirements and Prospects

Qualifications required

4 GCSE’s at grades A*- D (9-4) including Maths and English (or equivalent). You must achieve at least a Level 1 on the Initial Assessment that is completed during an Apprenticeship Selection Event at College.

Skills required

Excellent IT skills, particularly Microsoft packages. GCSE’s in English and Maths would be advantageous. An ability to problem solve and prioritise workload would be beneficial. An awareness of Health and Safety is required due to the nature of the business.

Personal Qualities

Confident, motivated and ability to work on own initiative. Good organisational skills and time management are required.

Future prospects

A full time job may be available upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.
