Description
Lake House is a privately run, well established, medium size day nursery looking for dedicated, caring individuals to join their dynamic team.
We are an Early Years nursery, offering care for babies and young children 0-5 to learn and develop throughout their time with us. We adhere to the EYFS where a large emphasis is based on independence through free-choice play.
• You will be required to contribute to the high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for children in the Nursery.
• Work under direction of Room Leader, carry out daily routines in base room.
• Contribute to a planned programme of activities suitable to the age range of children.
• Maintain standards within the Nursery by adhering to the policies and procedures.
• Attend training, staff meetings, parents evenings, support staff and be flexible with working hours.
Other duties include:
•Caring for children's care needs
•Assisting with cleaning duties
•Planning and supervising activities
•Helping children learn
•Ensuring Children are in a safe environment

Ability to care for others, good communication skills to build relationships with children, parents, carers, team members, ability to work as part of a team and use own initiative.
L2 Children and Young People's Workforce qualification (or equivalent) preferred but not essential.
Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship
Each framework includes a diploma/certificate which shows the practical skills, a technical certificate to confirm the knowledge and understanding and Functional Skills in Maths and English.
You will be assessed throughout the apprenticeship and complete the qualification based on the competencies within your job role.
You will be assessed by a combination of observations, professional discussion, question and answer sessions and self-study which is required to confirm your knowledge and understanding of the career route you have chosen.

This vacancy is for a temporary position with the possibility of permanent employment at Lake House Nursery upon completion of the apprenticeship. Once qualified at Level 3 we will consider recruiting as a permanent member of staff. There is no guarantee of a permanent position, but we have taken on all four previous apprentices successfully at the end of their apprenticeships so far.
