An Apprenticeship was an avenue to diversify my existing experience within an office environment. Through an apprenticeship I was able to gain support and guidance and progress within a business whilst becoming a valued member of the team. With the apprenticeship and working directly with people from walks of life it has enabled me to establish and build contacts within the finance sector. The Apprenticeship also allows me to gain a nationally recognised qualification whilst earning while you learn - A bonus!
A Semi-Senior AAT technician main role is to work and collaborate directly within a team to senior management to help assist on accounts preparations and Audits. Roles on the job consist of ensuring the accuracy of financial documentations as well as their compliance with relevant laws and regulations and preparing and evaluating financial operations. As a trainee apprenticeship we are responsible for completing testing on the clients systems as well as looking for an investigating potential fraud. Every job and day varies due to the large and expanding clientele pool you're able to work from theatre companies to large corporate business which makes each day different and exciting.

A highlight so far has been meeting and working with a diverse range of people and clients who I may of never met otherwise. The team spirit community at work where we collectively encourage and help each other to succeed.
Throughout the apprenticeship you're supported from every different level. We have external support from buddies to senior management as well as Kaplan tutors who help and guide you throughout you level 4 journey. At the end of the level 4 AAT programme many employees go onto complete the ACCA contract which is a level 7 accountancy scheme to become a chartered accountant.
