Advanced Apprenticeship Scheme

During your first year of your advanced apprenticeship with Jaguar Land Rover, you'll be at college and outside of term time you'll be working with the experts. During your second year, you'll continue your studies on one or two-day release.

Through this programme you have a number of opportunities from working in Product Engineering, Manufacturing Support, Toolmaker, Tool & Die Maintenance and Maintenance. What qualifications do I get with the Jaguar Land Rover Advanced Apprenticeship scheme?

There are a number of qualifications you can get through the advanced apprenticeship.

  • Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering
  • Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering
  • Level 3 Advanced Manufacturing Engineering

How do I get onto the Jaguar Land Rover Advanced Apprenticeship scheme?

You need to have Maths and English GCSE C grade of above or Grade 4-9. You'll also need 3 additional GCSE's (or equivalent) including a Science, Engineering or Technology at C grade of above. Alternatively, you should have an Engineering Vocational Level 3 of 90 Credit Value.

Engineering Degree Apprenticeship Scheme

Spending the first year of the programme at college you'll be working with the experts at Jaguar Land Rover. In the later years of your apprenticeship you'll get a full engineering degree awarded by the University of Warwick on a block-release basis.

Throughout your apprenticeship you could start in manufacturing engineering, product engineering, engineering & technical support or even purchasing! All of these different disciplines means that you will put your learning into practise in different ways from perhaps developing concepts and data to learning analytical skills. At the end of your apprenticeship you'll be selected to go down one of the following routes. From Control/Technical Support Engineering, Electrical or Electrical Technical Support Engineering to Product Design and Development Engineering or even Manufacturing engineering.

What qualifications do I get with the Jaguar Land Rover Engineering Degree Apprenticeship Scheme?

  • Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering
  • Level 3 Diploma in Engineering and Manufacture
  • Foundation Degree
  • BEng Degree in Applied Engineering

How do I get onto the Jaguar Land Rover Engineering Degree Apprenticeship Scheme?

You'll need Maths and English GCSE C Grade or above or Grade 4-9. You'll also need 3 additional GCSEs (or equivalent) including a Science, Engineering or Technology at C Grade or above. If you don't have these an Engineering Vocational Qualification Level 3 of 90 credit value (540 GLH) is also accepted.

In addition, you'll need to have either:

  • 2 A Levels (or academic equivalent) Which must be in Maths and an additional Mathematical/Physics/Chemistry/Technology or Engineering subject at C Grade or above
  • A Level Maths at C Grade or above plus an Engineering Level 3 qualification of 120 credit value (720 GLH)

Finance & Accountancy Degree Apprenticeship

Through working in the commercial side of Jaguar Land Rover and studying with BPP University in Birmingham on a day release benefits you'll have the opportunity to gain a lot of experience and a number of qualifications.

What qualifications do I get with the Jaguar Land Rover Engineering Degree Apprenticeship Scheme?

As well as the experience you'll be gaining a number of qualifications including

  • Certificate Level of the CIMA qualification
  • Fully Qualified CIMA Chartered Accountant
  • BSc Accounting and Finance

How do I get onto the Jaguar Land Rover Finance & Accountancy Degree Apprenticeship Scheme?

You'll need to have 5 GCSE's at Grade C or above, including Maths and English.

You also need to have one of the following.

  • 300 UCAS points (120 new on the tariff system) gained from three A-Levels. One of which must be a Grade B in a numerical or business-related subject (Maths, Physics, Economics, Business Studies, Accounting)
  • Level 3 AAT alongside 200 CAS points gained from 2 A-Levels
  • Level 4 AAT qualification
