We get it, interviews can be nerve-racking but we hope these 3 top tips will help you.

We know that interviews can be nerve-racking, so here are our top 3 tips to help you ace that interview!

1.       Research and make sure you research the correct company!

Check out their website, any recent news articles about them, look at their LinkedIn page and social feeds. These are all really great places to find out company information. Make some notes of important information and remember it if you can.

2.       Get a full understanding of the question you’ve been asked before answering it.

Ask a question about it if you don’t fully understand. If you’re doing a video interview read the question as many times as needed and practice your answer before you record it.

Remember interviews are about you allowing the interviewer to learn more about you, but it’s also a chance for you to learn more about the company. Don’t be afraid to ask questions about work-life balance, pensions or even what a typical day could look like.

3.       Speak calmly, casually and make sure to stay professional. Allow your personality to show!

Everyone gets nervous, but this is your time to shine. The interviewer is looking for someone who’ll enjoy working at the company, so it’s important to be yourself and give a good impression right from the start. If you’re super nervous pace yourself, it happens to the best of us. Don’t be afraid to pause and think or drink some water and calm your nerves.

We hope these help you in your next interview. Good luck! You’ve got this.
