Not quite got the skills or qualifications to start an apprenticeship or go to College? Let's see where a traineeship can take you!

A traineeship is time spent learning and working under supervision. You can do a traineeship almost anywhere, from a shop, fast-food outlet, office or even in a factory. You also study towards a qualification which is the equivalent to a GCSE! If you need additional support with this, your employer will help you.

Traineeships last up to 6 months, and the content of the course is tailored to you and the business you work in. You don’t always get paid to do a traineeship, but if you’re good, an employer is likely to take you on full-time or put you through an apprenticeship afterwards. Of course, this would be paid for. If you’re concerned that you couldn’t afford to do a traineeship, you may qualify for financial support from the Government including the 16-19 Bursary Fund while you're doing it!

If you’re motivated to get a job but don’t have the skills or experience that an employer is looking for a traineeship could be perfect for you. Not too sure if it is?
