Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers) Professional attitude and appearance, with a friendly manner to colleagues and customers Solid written and verbal communication skills Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise Excellent organisational skills Have excellent attention to detail Able to work in a team or on their own when required Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks Good understanding of customer requirements and service Flexible with working hours in order to meet customer service requirements
GCSE A*-C/9-4 (or equivalent) in English and Maths
A team player who is able to communicate well with colleagues at all levels A people person, who can build a rapport with the relevant teams across the site to ensure that customer service requirements are met Strive to excel in Customer Service with excellent communication and putting the customer first at the centre of what we do Willingness to learn and be capable of working with minimalism supervision Have the ability to stay clam under pressure and work to strict deadlines

There is the possibility of progression and further learning with Pilkington, as well as the opportunity for a permanent position
The Pilkington UK Merchanting Division has branches in Basingstoke, Bradford, Gateshead, Nottingham and Salford. The Merchanting Division supplies a range of glass products to customers across the UK. The role holder is part of the UK Merchanting Division and reports ultimately to the Branch Manager.
