The candidate will need a reasonable level of communication and numeracy skills and have the ability to work with the materials that are associated with the bricklaying trade
A positive and inquisitive approach to learning are key personal qualities for this role
Additionally, the candidate will need to have a clear view of their career goals and what they want to achieve during their training and be ready to apply themselves to the long-term commitment that is required for this role
Finally, they will be expected to be reliable and willing to work as part of a team and always be ready for a challenge
Alexander Maltby Ltd deal with private residential construction works. This may involve specialist structural works, restoration of existing properties many listed and new builds.
We are not in the market for large scale house building, but our master bricklayer has a wide knowledge of everything that is brick, block and stone. Currently we are looking for mature, keen individual who wants to join the construction team.
Our main area of work is the West end and all sites run from 8.00 to 4.30 pm so any employee needs to factor is the travelling aspect. Salary would be based around apprentice wages with travel added.

The directors work side by side with the sites, planning, forecasting, reporting and most of all safeguarding the client’s best interests.
