Description of Opportunity
Cargill are looking to recruit x3 Apprentices to be based at their Trafford Park site. They will work as part of a production shift team to learn the engineering skills to successfully support the effective operation of a production department. An ability to demonstrate agility to learn and work with multiple software applications quickly and effectively ie SAP, Microsoft Teams
Minimum Required Qualifications:
A Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) grade C / 4 or above including a minimum of a grade C / 5 in maths & Science
Preferred Qualifications:
AS level or equivalent in a science subject
A level or equivalent in a science subject
An ability to demonstrate a genuine desire to work in an engineering/manufacturing environment
Inquisitiveness and a strong desire to learn
Strong problem solving ability
Willingness to analyse and challenge the status quo and to innovate for continuous improvement
Team work and clear communication which are integral parts of successfully working in a shift team
Organised with ability to prioritise demands of plant based role and academic study
Self-motivated in order to succeed in both the academic work and plant based development

Cargill Manchester also includes an alcohol plant, serving the spirit, food, pharmaceutical, chemical and cosmetics industries.
