With experience, you could progress to team leader or supervisor. You may need to have, or be working towards, qualifications in supervision and management. You could also move into a related role like the ambulance service, healthcare assistant work, or nursing.

Community matrons provide care and support to people with long-term or complicated health conditions.
Hypnotherapists use hypnosis to help people make positive changes to their health, lifestyle and behaviour.

Pathologists work in hospitals and laboratories on different areas of prevention, diagnosis and treatment of disease.

There’s only so much you can learn when you just do a qualification. As an apprentice, you’ll also get to learn on the job – whether that’s designing amazing graphics, chopping vegetables, or building engines!
