Description of Opportunity
A CNC manufacturing engineer is responsible for machining high integrity components for a wide range of projects. These components will be manufactured on CNC Lathes, Milling Machines and Machining Centres.
We offer full training and support to gain a nationally recognised apprenticeship. So, you will be able to earn while you learn with a very attractive salary.
As an apprentice CNC Manufacturing Engineer, you will be taught the various processes involved:
Producing precision components from raw material state
Testing the integrity of the finished item
Using CNC lathes
Using milling machines
You will be part of a team that is skilled and flexible enough to react to the emergent requests of all live projects within Devonport Royal Dockyard.
The variety of components that you manufacture will mean that no two days are the same!

GCSEs at grades C/4 or above (or equivalent) in maths, English and a science.
Level 3 Engineering Technician apprenticeship standard, which includes:Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)End-Point Assessment (EPA)All training to be provided by City College Plymouth in collaboration with the company themselves throughout the duration of the apprenticeship.
