Overview: 


An exciting opportunity has arisen for an IT Apprentices to play an important role within our ambitious Help Desk Support team. 


We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who wants to develop in the IT department working towards achieving a Level 3 Infrastructure Technician Apprenticeship. 


You will be involved in: User Support, User Training, Project Support. 


Having a full driving licence and your own vehicle will be necessary to complete customer site visits.


If successful, you will also be subject to a full DBS check to work alongside our schooling partners.


Responsibilities:



  • 1st Line support call handling via telephone, email, and/or in person assisting with day-to-day support requests of all customers, from educational and private institutions, providing support both on site and remote.

  • As role will be part un-supervised, candidate must be able to work on own initiative, to strict service level agreements (SLA’s) and relevant procedures.

  • Provide 1st Line Support, resolving tickets where possible, and escalating where required.

  • Update and document all system and user changes.

  • Good organisation skills and be willing to learn

  • High attention to detail with problem solving skills

  • Demonstrate enthusiasm and creativity in the use of information technology 

  • Ability to work well in a team environment 

  • Candidate must be well presented (Uniform [Shirt] provided) and must be able to interact with customers at all levels 


Entry requirements: 


You need to have 5 GCSE’s: 



  • Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades D or above 

  • 3x GCSE’s grade A-C in any other subject 


You must not already have a qualification in a similar subject at the same level, or higher level than this apprenticeship. 


If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Working week: 



  • Monday to Friday - hours between 9am and 5:00pm.
