Overview:
We are now looking for an eager candidate to join us as an apprentice. 



Salary: £19,640.13 per annum.



Main responsibilities: 





  • Provide first line technical and practical support to staff and students, analysing and resolving basic hardware and software faults, to ensure a reliable ICT service is provided and all users can make efficient use of ICT equipment 


  • Learn to work independently and show initiative in providing an ICT support service covering a range of hardware, software and peripherals. This includes administration of front facing curriculum technology, maintenance of related equipment and other learning resources 


  • Learn to work logically and methodically to strict deadlines using our helpdesk software, as well as being reactive to issues that arise daily 


  • Maintain accurate manual and electronic records relating to all IT resources and work carried out including keeping our audit information up-to date 


  • Learn to support our user account and exams IT systems including creating and administrating of user login, group and email accounts 


  • Learn to support end user school ICT equipment including workstations, peripherals and AV equipment 


  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be committed to being involved in the ethos of Cardinal Newman Catholic SchoolTo be responsible for the management of warranties relating to ICT equipment in school and learn to take charge of equipment maintenance issues 


  • Helping internal and external access our IT equipment including logging into our Wi-Fi network 




What we are looking for: 
Desirable skills: 





  • Basic computing knowledge and skills of Windows 11 and office preferably in a networked environment 


  • Any Google admin knowledge would be an advantage 




Personal qualities: 





  • Maintain high professional standards of attendance, punctuality, appearance, conduct and positive relationships with all pupils, parents/carers, colleagues, governors, trustees and members; treating everyone with dignity and respect 


  • Share best practice, expertise and skills with others 




Entry requirements:





  • 3 GCSE's (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject


  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)


  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject




You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.



If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
