Holidays
25 days in full year, increasing to 26 days per year after completing three years of service with the Company. Ability to purchase additional holiday to bring entitlement up to a maximum of 30 days annual leave via a salary sacrifice scheme. Applies to all UK based permanent and apprentice employees of Open GI as at 1 January of the relevant annual leave year. Employees need to submit an application for additional annual leave each year during the month prior to the start of the new annual leave year (i.e. December) to enable adequate service planning. Employees who are serving notice in the month before the new annual leave year will not be eligible to participate in this scheme.
Pension Scheme
The Company operates a Stakeholder Pension Scheme, to meet Auto-enrolment requirements. Staff are automatically enrolled into the Auto-enrolment “Section” of the Pension Scheme within 3 months of meeting the qualifying criteria. The current contribution rate is 4% Employee and 4% Company contribution.
Critical Illness Cover
Available to all employees upon completion of 3 months’ service. The benefit is equal to 1 x annual salary upon diagnosis of a critical illness. 25% of salary is also paid out if an employee’s child is diagnosed with a critical illness
Life Assurance
Available to all employees, equal to 4 x annual salary payable to nominated individuals in the event of death in service.
Company Bonus
There is a Discretionary Company bonus scheme of 5%. This is subject to company and individual performance.
Maternity Pay
After 1 year of service, qualifying individuals will receive full pay for the first 26 weeks of their maternity leave.
Paternity Pay
6 weeks paid paternity leave for employees who have reached one year’s service by the start of the week their baby is due (or the week of the expected adoption placement).
Cycle to Work Scheme
This scheme is open to employees who have successfully passed their probationary period (and who are not in their notice period). We have partnered with Enjoy Benefits who have arrangements set up with many different retailers, both national and independent across the Country. If you are already cycling to work or thinking about doing so, rather than buying a new bike yourself out of your net salary, you can get a bike & accessories (a maximum of £1,000) through Open GI, and pay for it via salary sacrifice. This means you will save tax and national insurance.

Recruitment incentive scheme
The successful introduction of a friend to the Company will qualify for incentive payments. The Company will pay up to £2,000 to an employee who introduces someone who is subsequently employed and remains with the Company.
