Description

As an AAT Level 2 Accountancy Apprentice, you will embark on a structured training program designed to develop your skills and knowledge in accounting. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working towards your AAT Level 2 qualification.

You will support the team with day-to-day accounting tasks and learn the fundamentals of accounting practices and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Data Entry: Accurately input financial data into accounting software and maintain records.
  • Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the finance team, including filing, data management, and correspondence.
  • Learning and Development: Actively participate in training sessions and complete coursework towards achieving the AAT Level 2 qualification.

  • Relevant work experience (Desirable).
  • Numeracy Skills: Strong mathematical ability to handle accounting tasks efficiently. Computer Literacy: Proficiency in using accounting software and other relevant computer applications.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately process financial information and spot discrepancies.
  • Analytical Skills: Capability to analyse data and draw meaningful conclusions.

  • GCSE's grades 9/A* - 4/C including Maths and English.

Accounts/Finance Assistant Apprenticeship Level 2.

This level is ideal for existing staff or new talent in accounting and finance. Their work could include basic bookkeeping activities, working with sales and purchase ledgers, running calculations to ensure that records and payments are correct, recording of cash and data entry.

Learners will complete the mandatory AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting. The Certificate in Accounting comprises of four exams and an End Point Assessment. You must successfully complete the following:

  • Introduction to Bookkeeping (ITBK)
  • Principles of Bookkeeping Control (POBC)
  • Principles of Costing (PCTN)
  • Business Environment (BESY)
  • EPA - In Tray exercise

An apprenticeship has to be relevant to the job you are undertaking and you must dedicate time to off the job training, as well as completing knowledge, skills and behaviours associated with your apprenticeship.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Capability to identify issues and develop practical solutions.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing work environments and demands. Professionalism: Maintaining a professional demeanor in all interactions and upholding the standards of the accounting profession.
