Description

· To assist the owner and head chef with general kitchen duties and work with them to produce the weekly menu

· Assistance with making our various breakfast items: Granola, homemade sausages and bacon, homemade yogurt, breakfast pastries, sauces, and condiments

· Lots of larder work, helping the team preserve what is not used fresh in the kitchen. Candidates will gain knowledge of various preservation methods including fermentation, pickling, drying, and smoking.

· Regular harvesting/cleaning and preparation of vegetables from the kitchen garden.

· Assisting the chef and owner with butchery and charcuterie production.

· Regular interaction with curious guests

· Help with butter and yoghurt production.

· Helping pastry section with weekly desserts and sweet items.

· Regular cleaning duties Mandatory

· All duties to be carried out in a hygienic manner and to "best practices"

· To be courteous and considerate to the other staff, customers and members of the public

· 5 day working week, including some evenings and weekends
