Description
A Paralegal plays a vital role in the legal sector by supporting other legal professionals to provide legal services, your Paralegal Apprenticeship is a work-based learning position.
This is an extremely varied position which will also teach legal research, negotiations, project management, document management, drafting basic legal documents, administrative support, client care and client progression.
The day-to-day job for the first years will be in two separate placements in different areas of the business with our strongest teams and administrative staff.
During this time, you will be taught time management, time recording, commercial awareness, Microsoft Office and Proclaim skills. You will learn to undertake legal admin and tasks. Your work will be monitored on a weekly basis through work records and face to face discussions with your Manager.
20% classroom study is undertaken 1 day a week. Study includes English legal system, contract law, tort, client care, legal research, and public law. This will be supported by an external training provider.

As a Paralegal Apprentice with BPP, you will complete the Paralegal Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship. Additional learning within the apprenticeship will enable you to be awarded a Level 4 Certificate of Higher Education in Legal Services which can afford you exemptions from the first two years of the Level 7 Solicitor Apprenticeship.
Your apprenticeship shall be delivered by a blend of online and face-to-face training from and on-the-job learning.

Once qualified through the Paralegal Apprenticeship, there is the opportunity to go on to the Level 5 Advanced and Level 6. There is also the opportunity for a supported SQE placement.
