Description

This is a full time apprenticeship whilst you work towards completion of your Intermediate Level 2 Childcare qualification. You will be actively involved in the day to day activities and care of young children from the ages of 6 months - 5 years.

You will be involved in:

  • Play activities
  • Including outdoor play with the young children
  • Feeding
  • Changing
  • Craft and learning activities
  • General day-to-day care of the young children

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
  • No formal childcare qualification required, however any relevant work experience would be advantageous
  • Candidates will need to hold or be capable of achieving GCSE C(4) grades or equivalents or above in English Language and mathematics

Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. Little Cherubs will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.

You will be working towards the Level 2 Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship standard, which includes:

  • Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
  • Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Qualification
  • Functional skills in Maths and English if required

This will be delivered through Little Cherubs' dedicated training provider, Realise.

Realise is an established training provider that’s enjoying an exciting period of growth following a management buyout and rebrand in late 2020.

  • Candidates must have the ability to build rapport with children of all ages
  • Candidates must be passionate about a career in childcare
  • You will be approachable, friendly and nurturing
  • Excellent personal presentation and good level of hygiene is essential
