We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Business Admin Apprentice to join our energetic team. This apprenticeship offers a fantastic opportunity to gain practical experience across various administrative functions while building essential skills in a supportive setting. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn and help ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of our office.
Key Responsibilities
- Professionally answer and direct incoming calls, record messages in the telephone log, and forward them to the appropriate person.
- Accurately file all paid invoices according to the company’s filing system.
- Monitor and replenish office stationery supplies, placing orders when necessary.
- Assist with mail-related tasks by visiting the Post Office as required.
- Monitor the online communication platform to ensure employees have clocked in.
- Process holiday requests.
- Update employee records as needed.
- Prepare and serve beverages to staff and visitors.
- Keep the meeting room clean and ensure supplies are well-stocked and organized.
Key Skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a professional and approachable demeanor.
- Proficient in ICT, especially with Microsoft Office programs (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to collaborate well with others as part of a team while taking initiative and responsibility for assigned tasks.
Qualifications
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
- Administrative experience with a focus on clerical tasks and data entry
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Effective communication and customer service skills
- Familiarity with QuickBooks and Microsoft Outlook
- Professional phone etiquette and typing proficiency
