With experience, you could move into a chargehand or supervisory management role. With further training, you could become a construction engineering or building services technician.

Chimney sweeps clean the chimneys and flues of open fires and other coal, gas, oil and wood-fired heating systems.
Auto electricians fit and repair the electrics in motor vehicles.
Construction plant mechanics service and repair heavy plant machinery like diggers, dumper trucks and cranes.
Bricklayers build houses, repair walls and chimneys, and refurbish decorative stonework. They also work on restoration projects.
Painters and decorators apply paint, wallpaper and other finishes to the inside and outside of buildings.
