You'll usually need 2 to 3 A-Levels, or the equivalent, for a degree. For a postgraduate degree, you might need a degree in a relevant subject.

With experience you could become a senior cartographer and manage mapping projects and staff. If you specialise in working with GIS, you could apply for Chartered Geographer (GIS) status. You could also work on a freelance basis, but you'll need your own mapping equipment.
Forestry workers manage trees, plants and the environment in forests and woodland.
Forest officers manage forestry workers, plan harvesting activities and monitor planted areas.
Recycling officers promote recycling in the community, and run local recycling schemes.
Tree surgeons carry out tree work including planting, felling, care and maintenance, and hazard assessments.
Technical architects help plan, design and build IT systems for clients.
Sports scientists use knowledge of how the body works to help people improve their health or sporting ability.
