John joined STFC as an Electrical Engineering apprentice within the Engineering Technology Centre in 2015, and spent time supporting colleagues at the European Spallation Source (ESS), Sweden, undertaking electrical installation work alongside technicians and design engineers within ESS’ test stands. John is now an Assistant Project Manager within Daresbury Laboratory’s Estates team, and is completing a second apprenticeship as a Level 6 (Degree) Electrical / Electronic Technical Support Engineer.
