We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Finance Apprentice. This apprenticeship offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the finance sector within a dynamic and supportive work environment.
The successful candidate will work closely with our finance team to develop essential skills and knowledge in financial management and analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Support the finance team in preparing financial reports, statements, and forecasts.
- Collaborate with colleagues to process invoices, expenses, and other financial transactions.
- Conduct basic financial analysis to assist in decision-making processes.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities to ensure financial stability and growth.
- Support the finance team in liaising with external stakeholders, including suppliers and clients.
- Assist in the reconciliation of bank statements and other financial documents. Contribute to the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
- Undertake ad-hoc tasks and projects as assigned by the Management Accountant/Commercial Finance Manager.

- GCSE's grades 9/A* - 4/C including Maths and English.
Accounts/Finance Assistant Apprenticeship Level 2.
This level is ideal for existing staff or new talent in accounting and finance. Their work could include basic bookkeeping activities, working with sales and purchase ledgers, running calculations to ensure that records and payments are correct, recording of cash and data entry.
Learners will complete the mandatory AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting. The Certificate in Accounting comprises of four exams and an End Point Assessment. You must successfully complete the following:
- Introduction to Bookkeeping (ITBK)
- Principles of Bookkeeping Control (POBC)
- Principles of Costing (PCTN)
- Business Environment (BESY)
- EPA - In Tray exercise
An apprenticeship has to be relevant to the job you are undertaking and you must dedicate time to off the job training, as well as completing knowledge, skills and behaviours associated with your apprenticeship.
- Attention to detail and desire to be a qualified accountant.
AAT and CIMA progression to become a chartered management accountant with the experience to match.
