Due to continued expansion we now have an immediate vacancy for an Apprentice Field Service Technician. The successful applicant will train to join the Field Services Team, and will work both within the Sheffield works and in the field.

Aptitude for practical work

A minimum of GCSEs at grade 5 (or C) or above, in mathematics, English and a science, technology or engineering-related subject
Applicants are also required to undertake a series of assessments at the AMRC Training Centre before being offered a place on an apprenticeship

During the first year you will be required to attend the University of Sheffield AMRC Training Centre in Sheffield, full time for an initial block of study
One Friday per month you will return to your workplace
After the initial block training you will attend the AMRC Training Centre for one day a week to undertake the knowledge study
The remaining four days will be spent in company learning on the job
Completion of this apprenticeship is just the start of your career and can open the door to many more opportunities, such as Engineering Management and Project Engineering positions across a range of sectors.

Having relocated in 2011, RE Field Services has gone from strength to strength and now boasts a 12000 sq foot facility in Sheffield. The Sheffield factory is well equipped with the tools to undertake all your HV and LV motor and generator needs. The facility includes in-house cranes, varnish tank, oven and test bay areas and marks a significant milestone in the company's growth and development.
