You'll usually need 2 or more GCSEs at grades 9 to 3 (A* to D), or equivalent, for a Level 2 course.
You can work towards this role by doing a community sport and health officer Level 3 apprenticeship. You may be able to move on to a public health practitioner degree apprenticeship.
You'll usually need 5 GCSEs at grades 9 to 4 (A* to C), or equivalent, including English and maths, for a Level 3 apprenticeship. You'll need 4 or 5 GCSEs at grades 9 to 4 (A* to C) and A-Levels, or equivalent, for a higher or degree apprenticeship.

Your day-to-day duties might include:
With experience, you could progress to team supervisor, or senior health improvement specialist. You could also move into related careers in health promotion or community development.
Swimming teachers help people learn to swim, improve their swimming skills and how to exercise in water.
Practice nurses work in GP surgeries to assess, screen, treat and educate patients, and help doctors give medical care.
Maternity support workers help midwives provide care to women and their babies, before, during and after childbirth.
Optometrists test vision, identify eye health problems, prescribe glasses and fit contact lenses.
Cosmetic surgeons treat people who choose to alter their appearance. Plastic surgeons repair tissue damaged through illness or injury.
Physiotherapists work with patients to improve their range of movement, and promote health and wellbeing.
