Insurance technicians give administrative support in all types of insurance work.
You'll usually need 2 to 3 A-Levels, or the equivalent.
You may need GCSEs at grades 9 to 4 (A* to C), or the equivalent, including English and maths.

You could specialise in a branch of insurance, for instance underwriting, after doing further training like the Level 3 Certificate in Insurance. You could move into other areas of insurance after getting experience, for example loss adjusting, broking, account management or compliance.
Stockbrokers manage their clients' investments by trading stocks, shares and other financial products to get the best return.
Import-export clerks ship goods to and from the UK by road, rail, air and sea.
Registrars collect and record details of all births, deaths, marriages and civil partnerships.
Court administrative assistants help with the daily running of courts and their supporting offices.
Business project managers plan and organise people, tasks and resources to complete a project on time and within budget.
Town planning assistants process applications, give advice about regulations and carry out design work and office administration.
The Data Technician Apprentice will work with the Performance Reporting and Data Manager to support internal teams by providing regular reporting as well as ad-hoc analysis into performance whilst studying for the Level 3 Data Technician Apprenticeship. This role will involve using a large range of data sets (including book issues, PC usage, customer demographics) to create data visualisations for a range of audiences, contributing to a strong reporting and data culture focused on improving operational performance and maximising the social value and impact of the charity.
The accountancy team needs another person to help and support the Councillors make informed decisions. This role will be crucial to the smooth running of the department and given the small team will gain experience in a large number of areas

Location : NewportSalary : 25,266 rising to 31,583 13.5 shift allowanceClosing date : 5th August 2024Working hours: 37 hours per week Monday Friday on 3 rotating shifts - 8am-4pm 10am-6pm 12pm-8pm. There is also an opportunity work voluntary overtime on Saturdays.
