Description

Mission:

Our graduate programme within our Services business will involve spending your development over 2 rotations to gain experience from multiple departments. During a one-year period, you will be provided comprehensive training, building on your electrical and/or electronic knowledge to nurture both technical and customer skills for our customer’s digital solution requirements. This programme will enable you to develop into the role of a IoT Engineer at Schneider Electric.

Building on your knowledge obtained during your degree, you will be mentored and guided to develop within our programme, to transition into an exciting role to grow your career at one of the world’s most sustainable Companies.

The role of the IoT engineer is to ensure the seamless integration and deployment of IoT projects on customer’s sites. You will play a vital role in supporting the setup and execution phases of complex solutions and providing troubleshooting assistance to customers and internal engineering teams.


Location:

Within this role you'll be based around one of Schneider Electric's following hubs: Leeds, Coventry or Hatfield. This is a rotational role so you'll likely spend the first rotation in one location, and the second rotation in another location.


Key responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to support/learn project initiatives and business objectives.
  • Participate in ongoing training, workshops, and professional development activities to enhance your skills and competence.
  • Learn and develop to take ownership of assigned tasks and projects to become more efficient and effective with the goal of the graduate programme to be able to:

o Perform installed base surveys and collect necessary information to plan and execute engineered solutions.

o Coordinate with our customer’s staff, internal teams and project managers to commission digital service solutions.

o Troubleshoot end to end communications and connectivity, including cloud connected technology using established procedures and ticketing tools.

o Support sales and tendering teams with designs for the setup of complex solutions.

o Support customer projects on all connectivity matters, including cybersecurity and asset management analytics.

What qualifications do you need?

· A minimum 2:2 Bachelor's Degree (BSc/BEng) in an Electrical/Electronic Engineering or an IT area of study.

· You must have graduated from University within 2 years of the Programme start date.

· Location Flexibility - must be willing to relocate for rotations. Preferences are always considered but cannot be guaranteed.

· Please note, this role requires a valid UK Driving licence.
