Entry requirements for these courses vary.
You'll usually need some GCSEs, usually including English and maths, or equivalent, for a Level 2 apprenticeship. For a Level 3 apprenticeship you'll normally need 5 GCSEs at grades 9 to 4 (A* to C), or equivalent, including English and maths.
Most employers will look for candidates with the ability to use spreadsheets and computerised accounts packages and experience of office administration or customer service work A qualification in bookkeeping or accounts can also be useful. You may be able to move into credit control after getting experience in accounts, finance or debt collecting.

Data entry clerks type information into databases and systems and create letters, reports and other documents.
Equalities officers promote practices and attitudes to make sure all people are treated equally within organisations.
Recruitment consultants help employers find suitable staff, and match people to permanent and temporary jobs.
Interpreters convert the spoken word from one language into another, either face-to-face or remotely.
The Data Technician Apprentice will work with the Performance Reporting and Data Manager to support internal teams by providing regular reporting as well as ad-hoc analysis into performance whilst studying for the Level 3 Data Technician Apprenticeship. This role will involve using a large range of data sets (including book issues, PC usage, customer demographics) to create data visualisations for a range of audiences, contributing to a strong reporting and data culture focused on improving operational performance and maximising the social value and impact of the charity.
