Progress Reviews, Block Release & Digital Training

Apprenticeships are delivered through regular workplace training, online webinars, classroom workshops, and self-study.

The End-Point Assessment is designed to assess the knowledge, skills and behaviours (KSBs) learnt and evidenced throughout the programme.

Block Release Training

Automotive apprenticeship training will be carried at Renault’s purpose-built training centre in Doncaster, where you will have access to industry standard workshops and high-quality training resources.

Online Webinars

Technology is continually evolving and the use of personal devices such as phones and tablets give the opportunity for learning to be conducted on demand and without the need to travel with a suite of online webinars and trainer support.

Digital Resources

We are continually developing our digital resources giving you access to high quality digital learning opportunities. Our apprenticeship learning portal is easily accessible, you can track progress, access learning schedules, training plans, resources and much more.

Progress Reviews

The progress review is an opportunity for you and your trainer to engage with your employer to ensure you are making the expected progress and provides the opportunity identify any actions needed to support your success.

Off-The-Job Training Hours

Off-the-job training is a statutory requirement for an English apprenticeship. It is learning which is undertaken outside of day-to-day work duties and leads towards the achievement of the apprenticeship. This training takes place within normal (contracted) working hours and must be directly relevant to the apprenticeship.

End Point Assessment

Apprenticeship certification is awarded by successful achievement of an independent assessment at the end of the apprenticeship. Prior eligibility criteria such as the number of hours of off the job training and functional skills achievement are required to be met before the candidate can be put forward for End Point Assessment (EPA). The End Point Assessment will be overseen by an independent Awarding Body (EPAO) and contain the following elements:

  • Online knowledge assessment
  • Observed practical skills test
  • Synoptic professional discussion

English and Maths (Functional Skills)

A dedicated English and maths programme is available to develop and improve your core functional skills.

Accommodation

Dependent upon your location it is likely that you will be required to stay overnight for each day of training. The administration team and your employer will work closely to ensure your accommodation is safe, supportive and suitably close for us arrange daily travel on your behalf. Meals and use of the hotel amenities will be provided at no cost to yourself.
