GP practice managers run the business side of doctors' surgeries and health centres.
You could start as an assistant office manager in a health centre or hospital and work your way up through training and promotion.

You can get relevant qualifications by training with The Association of Medical Secretaries, Practice Managers, Administrators and Receptionists (AMSPAR). Qualifications include: a short course Certificate in Health Service Administration, a Level 3 Diploma in Medical Administration, a Level 3 Certificate in Medical Principles for the Administrator or a Level 5 Primary Care and Health Management.
These are available through a combination of approved training centres, colleges and online learning. You'll need to be working in a health-related job to study some of the higher-level qualifications. As with all NHS roles, you will be expected to demonstrate an understanding of NHS values.

With experience, you could become a partner (part-owner) of the practice. You might move into healthcare management in a hospital, health authority or NHS trust. You could also work as a manager in a social services department, or you could work in private healthcare.
Health service managers run local healthcare services like hospitals, GP practices and community health services.

Border Force officers protect UK border entry points like ports and airports, by enforcing immigration and customs regulations.
Research and development (R&D) managers lead teams of scientists and engineers to create new products and improve existing ones.
Telephonists, or switchboard operators, answer and connect calls and take messages.
Trading standards officers (TSOs) protect consumers and businesses by promoting a safe and fair trading environment.
The Data Technician Apprentice will work with the Performance Reporting and Data Manager to support internal teams by providing regular reporting as well as ad-hoc analysis into performance whilst studying for the Level 3 Data Technician Apprenticeship. This role will involve using a large range of data sets (including book issues, PC usage, customer demographics) to create data visualisations for a range of audiences, contributing to a strong reporting and data culture focused on improving operational performance and maximising the social value and impact of the charity.
